Would you believe that I didn’t notice the So Swirly Jumbo wheel was on the Last Chance list until a couple of days ago? Maybe I was in denial or something… I love this wheel! It adds such a touch of elegance, so quickly! My friend Erin asked if I could design some Thank You notes as a gift for a wedding she is going to this summer and this wheel is the first thing I tthought of! I made two versions of the card — it will eventually be a gift pack of 12, in matching portfolio. (Yes, I do custom orders, just let me know what you need!)

Here is the first version, clean and simple.

And here is the second, kicked up a notch, but still elegant.

CIMG8009Stamps: Fresh Cuts, So Swirly Jumbo Wheel
Ink: Baja Breeze
Paper: Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Baja Breeze Striped Grosgrain Ribbon

Here is what the wedding invitation looked like. I tried to capture the same feel.

Leave me a comment and let me know which version you like better. So far my husband and daughter like the second one better. And then quickly go order this fabulous wheel before it is gone!

When I saw Kristina Werner’s color challenge today, I knew that I wanted to do something elegant. So I looked through my stamp sets for something to make I found Together Forever. I just love the lines on the flowers on this set and its matching wheel. There is something in the way the lines are drawn that is just perfection in my eyes! Here is the card I came up with:

Stamps: Together Forever, Forever Flowers Wheel
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon

Thanks for looking!

A Few More Challenges

I love SplitCoast Stampers. It is full of the most wonderful, creative, thoughtful women I have ever “met.” Among other things, it has a wide variety of weekly challenges for papercrafters. This card combines two of the challenges — Tuesday’s color challenge and Wednesday’s sketch challenge. The color challenge this past week was a neutrals challenge — Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Sahara Sand. I don’t have any Sahara Sand (I know, I know, I really have to get some…) so I substituted Creamy Caramel. It’s not the same, but it will have to do. You can see the sketch from the sketch challenge here. Here’s what I came up with:

Stamps: Together Forever, Forever Flowers Stampin’ Around Wheel
Ink: Creamy Caramel, Stazon Black
Paper: Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Creamy Caramel

They aren’t colors I necessarily would have chosen on my own, but I think it came out pretty nicely!
