Hello Baby and Hello New Stuff!! I finally had a chance to do the Mojo Monday sketch this morning — I think it still counts, even if it is Mojo Tuesday!

Mojo93SketchI inked up two brand new sets for this sketch. Both of which can be purchased when the new catalog goes live tomorrow, July 1st! Whoo-hoo! It’s a great catalog! Do you have a copy yet? If not let me know. Here is the card I put together for this set. I left off the the three brads at the top right because of all of the dots on the background paper. According to the catalog, Tea Party Designer Series Paper coordinates with So Saffron, however I found that for this paper I liked Apricot Appeal better.

So with that, I toast the Spring-Summer 2009 catalog and the mini catalog. Farewell catalogs, we loved you… (okay, this was really a birthday card I made Steve, but it fits here, alright?)

My parents celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary last weekend — quite an accomplishment! The card that I made them had to use yellow, of course, since that is my mom’s favorite color. I used Yo-Yo Yellow, which is her current favorite. I’ll have to get her opinion of Crushed Curry, one of the brand new in-colors!

For this card I used the “Happy Anniversary” sentiment from Hugs & Wishes. This super versatile set of six phrases will be gone forever after June 30th, so order today!

My friend Mike gave me the most beautiful box right at the end of the school year. His husband Rob had taken photos of Biscuit and modge podged them all over the outside. It is absolutely amazing! I figured the very least that I could do was to make them a cute doggie stationary set. I tried to make it look like their dog Murphy, but the only similiarity really is that she is brown. Here’s what I came up with. I love how it came out!

So Swirly

Would you believe that I didn’t notice the So Swirly Jumbo wheel was on the Last Chance list until a couple of days ago? Maybe I was in denial or something… I love this wheel! It adds such a touch of elegance, so quickly! My friend Erin asked if I could design some Thank You notes as a gift for a wedding she is going to this summer and this wheel is the first thing I tthought of! I made two versions of the card — it will eventually be a gift pack of 12, in matching portfolio. (Yes, I do custom orders, just let me know what you need!)

Here is the first version, clean and simple.

And here is the second, kicked up a notch, but still elegant.

CIMG8009Stamps: Fresh Cuts, So Swirly Jumbo Wheel
Ink: Baja Breeze
Paper: Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Baja Breeze Striped Grosgrain Ribbon

Here is what the wedding invitation looked like. I tried to capture the same feel.

Leave me a comment and let me know which version you like better. So far my husband and daughter like the second one better. And then quickly go order this fabulous wheel before it is gone!

Great sketch for today’s Mojo Monday #92! I love all of the scallops.

I decided to treat myself and play with some of the yummy new in colors coming out from Stampin’ Up on July 1st. They went just perfectly with the tropical drinks in this set. And do you know what the best part is? I colored in the drinks with my new In Color markers. Markers! Yes, you read that right! Not aqua painters, not blender pens, but honest-to-goodness In Color Stampin’ Write Markers! How fabulous is that? I am so happy that Stampin’ Up has made these available with the 2009-2010 In Colors!

I decided to try a new sketch challenge this weekend. Six Stampin’ Up demonstrators just started a new weekly sketch challenge blog, called Stamping 411. The sketch looked clean and simple, which is pretty much my style, so I gave it a try. I really liked that they gave the dimensions of each piece on the blog. It made it much easier to follow.

I am strongly urging you to make sure you get Wild About You before it retires in a week. You will just be so sad if you don’t have these cute little faces to stamp! And Urban Garden is one of the few Designer Series papers still available. Shop now before it is too late! (I can’t take credit for the super cute “bite” with the scallop punch. I’ve seen it before, but not sure who first came up with it.)

Just wanted to give a big shout out to my husband! Eve and I both made him Father’s Day cards. I’ll show you hers first. She was very creative, and used a black Stampin’ Write marker to ink up only the tools on two of the stamp sets she used, so the words would only show up once. Yes, she is only 6, but she is a very accomplished stamper. She has been stamping for 2/3 of her life, after all!

Wow! Kristina Werner picked some truly elegant colors for Color Inspiration #55. And look at those shoes!

Colors like these need an elegant stamp set, and what could be better than a brand new set that will be available in the upcoming catalog? I love this new stamp set, Circle Circus. The designs are amazing, and what is really fabulous is how all of the circles coordinate with Stampin’ Up’s circle punches! This was really a quick and easy card to make!

Happy Father’s Day to my dad! I am so excited to be able to celebrate with him this year. And I can’t wait to see the look on hos face when he opens his present. (You remember, the big framed tree I showed you.) I decided to make a card that matched! I even used some of the leftover background paper! This was a quick and easy card, and I am  thrilled with how it came out! The “Happy Father’s Day” saying is from the set And Many Mower, which will not be available any more in a week!
